CUBA LINDA

A journey of discovery of Cuban music, now known throughout the world thanks to the success of the "Buena Vista Social Club".Particularly intense and exciting concert offers songs of great composers of the Cuban musical heritage more traditional to name just a few titles, Cuba Linda, Chan Chan, Dos Gardenia, Quizas Quizas Quizas, Como Fue, Guantanamera played with the typical sounds of jazz music.To interpret these songs MariBlanca Armenteros one of the most authentic Cuban singers of traditional music in trio piano, bass and percussion, will be able to bring the audience in an atmosphere of joy and melancholy, passion and tenderness.

The journey continues, this time with the typical sound of the Symphony Orchestra.There are several musical genres that over the centuries have characterized the music of this wonderful island, some of Spanish derivation, "imported" to the island by European rulers, and others with the sounds and rhythms typically African, arrived in Cuba with the slaves in chains.Musical genres that over time you are then contaminated one another: the little-known Son, considered by many to be the true founder of Cuban music, the Bolero, the famous "Cha cha cha" to the hugely popular Salsa.Music is a result of a mixture of cultures, mestizo as its people, so many races and traditions but united by a strong national feeling.
